If you're looking for a good time...

Ok, so one day I was facebooking and I came across a post on my friend's wall for a "Cute Stuff Sale" hosted by some blogger chick...well, some blogger chick is actually Roo over at NiceGirlNotes...and her Cute Stuff Sales are EPIC! Seriously, her blog is funny and charming...She's a mom that keeps it real and likes to make 90's hip hop references! She's totally easy to relate to and she loves culottes! Ok, so she doesn't really like them, but she has some funny stuff to say about them.


...oh, and back to this Cute Stuff Sale...also known as CSS...they are sporadically annual and basically she hosts a sale of merchandise from her favorite Etsy shops on her facebook page...she posts a pic and description and the first person to claim it gets to buy it...it's fast-paced and lots of fun. I have gotten some really good deals on LilacAve, 2littlefriends, and Sweet Pea Treasures Too.

I suggest visiting the NGN "best of" page and then following her blog and liking her on facebook...I mean, that's what I did...and it's working out pretty well for me!

Oh, something smells good...it's Lilac Ave!

So...you know how when your friends do something you try to be supportive but deep down you aren't expecting much? Yeah, well I have totally learned not to do that anymore thanks to my dear friend, Deb. From the moment I took my first whiff of a Lilac Ave candle I knew to expect nothing less than total amazement!



Right now there are 3 Lilac Ave items I am absolutely ga-ga for:

Body Butter - I have never, ever, EVER in my life found a moisturizer that compares to Lilac Ave Body Butter. It so thick when you put your finger in the jar, but it melts like butter (pun intended) once it comes in contact with your skin. It is, without a doubt, better than any body cream or lotion you will find in a big brand store.


Lip Tint - Just a hint of color and packed with sheer moisture. It feels great on your lips, not at all thick or cakey. My favorite flavor is strawberry.





Sweet Cheeks - This stick is for baby's bum or any other area that needs special care. I've heard it's great for eczema and general skin irritations. It's got coconut oil, which is a natural antiseptic and antifungal agent, paired with tea tree oil and lavender essential oil. It smells nice, in a natural way, not a frou-frou powdery way.



Some other cool things about Lilac Ave...Deb tries to make every product to only include ingredients essential to the function of the product--you won't find any crazy dyes or preservatives. Also, Deb is a Navy wife and WAHM to 2 kids and 2 dogs! Speaking of Deb being a Navy wife...Mr. Deb just made chief and she is doing a fundraiser for him...you should totally check it out!
